A village dancer is harassed by a local politician and is ridiculed by the police, but ends up plotting revenge to clear her name.
Anaarkali (Swara Bhaskar) is an orchestra singer in South Bihar’s Arrah. She is poor, sings double meaning lyrics and is treated as a sex worker. Dharmendra Chauhan (Sanjay Mishra), the Vice Chancellor of a prestigious university, is one of her many admirers. He molests Anaarkali in an inebriated state during a show and a war breaks out between the two. While Anaarkali wants justice for her ordeal, the system thinks it’s the most natural accident that somebody like Anaarkali could meet.
Anarkali of Arrah’ is the story of an erotic singer played by Swara Bhaskar who hails from Arrah in Bihar and is popular for her songs that make you read between the lines. She is the star performer of her troupe and is confident of her success. However, her life takes a twist when she has a confrontation with a very powerful man of the region, followed by a serious conflict.
